Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurtyou, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love - Neil Gaiman.
Pain of Love, what does this mean to you? To respond you have no answer would be a lie, because unfortunately we have all felt it. If you are happy in love, you have crossed it. If you are divorced, you may still be carrying it within you. Throughout history there has always been and will always be the pain of love. To have been given this opportunity is devastating and usually the road more traveled, but is it bearing all torture or is there something to be remembered and better served in our history? When the parting of two souls occurred in your life, without the pain, what validates its existence? Without pain would there be anything worth remembering? So with the pain, we have the validation of the soul that Love was created. This site is my way of remembering this and knowing that there was more than me who has walked these roads to humility, despair, etc. From thousands of years ago to present day, there is the pain. Expressed in writing, expressed in poetry, expressed in song and visualized by movies. We can see a movie, hear a song, read a poem and there we are at the pain again. This is the positive truth that we have loved with all our heart and soul, and this is where we should take pride in celebrating this fact. Two roads diverged......and sometimes you both go separate ways down a different one. Celebrate your validation, celebrate your own hearts ability to influence another, celebrate the fact that Love without Pain would not have been love at all.

I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love - Mother Theresa
